Began removing all the unnecessary brackets from the M42 days. The old airbox, ABS, charcaol canister, coilpack and eventually airbag pressure sensor brackets will be removed.
Wire wheel got my finger.
Brake booster has to come out.
I never fully read the airbag car E36 rack swap so it was kinda frustrating trying to figure out why the column was hitting the opening in the firewall. Well after a whole lotta cussing I finally gave up and referred to the DIY. Sure enough I forgot to notch the firewall but everything went smoothly from there.
Finished up smoothing the sections on the drivers side where all the brackets once were. Ghetto primer is temporary. I will not be shaving the engine bay, merely removing all uneeded stuff. No VW bondo bay.
this is awesome, i will be checking up on this A LOT even though you told us not to.
so sick.
Updates should be pretty steady now, I will take a small break from the silver car to document the swap on the E coupe as it will be for sale soon. I'm hoping the have the E done by the end of this month. We'll see. I need the space in the garage for something.... larger....
