He probably pulled the boat anchor from the battery well.

Sure glad this one didn't get parted out, looks great! And sounds like you have a nice mod list going.

A local guy sold me the canvas top and frame combo. He had the work done, but never installed it. I also put the BBS RGs from my sedan on the vert. They are 15 x 7, like euroweaves, but forged with more lip. They are painted nogaro silver with polished lips. I like the contrast with the sterling silver.

    I also installed a 95 m3 rack and a 4.27 torsen LSD from a Z3.

Still waiting to be installed are euro smileys and plate filler, newish fogs, 12mm spacers for the rear, and a conforti chip. After that, I'll concentrate on the interior. I'm still hoping to find a coupe/sedan sterling silver trunklid. Stay tuned.

The car is pretty well sorted mechanically and up to date on maintenance, mostly thanks to e30 motor werks.

The suspension has been re-worked. I added Dinan vert springs and Koni SA shocks/struts. I also added a 16mm Dinan rear swaybar. I kept the 21mm front swaybar, but switched to an M3 strut-mounted set-up. Ground Control RSMs were also installed. The car already came with IE subrame bushings and strut brace, as well as aluminum control arms with m3 offset bushing.

I haven't driven it much, but it feels great; exactly what you'd expect from Dinan, performance with an emphasis on comfort. Luckily all the parts were used, so I didn't pay the Dinan premium. I'm also really happy with the ride height (it's got plenty of low for me ).

So that car was getting parted out but you managed to save the whole thing?

Very cool! Good to see a nice car saved.

I actually bought about 300 bucks of steering wheel from Levent a month ago, so I'm not really in the market, just being opportunistic ;)

There is a card from a service advisor at Crevier BMW in Santa Ana in the Owner's Manual, but I think that might be where the PO bought it from. On the back of the card says "motor complete parts and labor $6,640" :eeek:
