awesome inspiration for my M50nv swap into a 84' 318i.

Please cover up that oil fill hole before something gets accidentally dropped into it!

Hopefully, you don't run into the issue I did with running sans the valve cover... cover, where water would get into the spark plug wells and I'd have misfires from water accumulation after heavy rains or washing the engine bay.

Why didn't you just have the manifolds coated to begin with? If your budget was limited, I understand, but it's an odd oversight in a build where almost no stone has been left unturned.

How did water get up under your engine around on to the top with a hood on? Crazy!

You're supposed to cover the coils and wells when washing the engine bay.

i see this as well. Mechanics wont replace the valve cover "cover" and slowly but surely after a few rains the car will start misfiring.

As for joshs car. Doubtful it will see much rain.

When the coil pack holes do fill with water how do you get it out? towel?

Thats nuts... I'm going to put my cover back on now...

Supposedly around/through the holes for the windshield washer nozzles. I'm still skeptical of it though, both water getting up in there and also of it causing problems.

Pretty sure Josh plans on running SOME kind of cover, just not the necessarily the stock one. I don't think he's decided what he wants to do.

I have this special spray that you spray on your plugs and inside the coil boots. So that if water does get down in there it won't cause a mis fire. I will get the name of it tomorrow.
You can spray it on a light bulb and in the socket and drop the whole thing in water and nothing will happen to it. Its some cool shit.
