People who think this need to set their posts per page display setting higher. I only show 34 pages.

Just made a MUCH better looking mount for my intake, used a bracket leftover from... something, and the little rubber bushing that was with it gave it the perfect spacing to reach the intake bracket, and it's black, so it doesn't stick out as much.

Yes, my headlight covers are bedliner-ed to match the rest of the bay. :D

I really like the bed liner on the headlight covers. Have you thought about painting the bracket for the intake in that bed liner stuff? Might look even better.

I know it's been a little while kids, but there is great news afoot! This showed up last week:

And it's getting welded up to the rest of the OBDI M3 exhaust system next week, my boss hooked me up with the welding instructor at the local college, who also used to build exhaust systems for hot rods, and he's doing it all for me for dirt cheap!

And on another note, I took my first shakedown drive in the car today. Just drove it around a couple of blocks near my house, just in case. VERY loud (headers only right now), but the power is there, waiting to burst out. I could feel it with every push of the gas pedal, it just wanted to go faster! The only issue I was able to notice so far is that the throttle is sticking a bit, it doesn't return back down to regular idle until a few seconds after I let off the gas.

And the E36 steering rack feels amazing. It felt like going from a car with no power steering to a car that does. I can't wait to really drive it hard and feel the difference.

E36 rack is very nice , i will agree. When i try to describe it the best i can come up with is that it feels like i took 10 years off the car. I bet you are stoked to drive it again!

The idles from my experience on 24v's ('95 525i M50v and S50) are a bit different. As the RPM's drop they don't just plop to resting idle they almost... "hesitate" at roughly 200-300rpm above then slip into resting idle.
                  Need a part? PM me.

Interesting. That's exactly what it's doing.

And yes, even though I couldn't really get on it at all, it felt so amazing to be behind the wheel of my car again. Even just puttering along (only got up into 3rd), it felt so incredibly different from the M20. It felt like I could blow on the gas pedal and it accelerated. Quickly.

The RPMs are designed to do that from the factory I believe. Its in the programming so that on a shift etc the rpms dont fully drop when the throttle is completely closed. The only time you notice it is when you come to a stop. Then a couple seconds later, the rpms settle.

Awesome, thanks for confirming that, Curt.

@ Phreshkid - Thai ladyboys are what Wh33lhop and I both want.
