I've tried cranking it with both the (suspected) supply and the return lines off and into plastic bottles, no fuel coming out of either one, and there's no fuel coming out of the vapor line. So at this point, I think I can assume that it's either the relay, or the car is actually completely out of gas. Because right now, it sounds EXACTLY like this:

And he had his lines reversed. Once they were fixed, it started. So by that, I can assume it's either the relay or out of gas. Could be the pump(s) too, but I doubt that since they were both working perfectly fine when I parked it.

Haha, that video brings back memories.

Try swapping the relay out with a known working one--just gank a fan or low beam relay (if the low beam relays are 4-prong, I can't remember) from your fuse box for the time being. I would have been all over a gas station as well but with those silly full service laws in Oregon they may be closed?

Gas stations are open normal hours here, you silly Californian.

My kid just went to bed about half an hour ago, if I start the thing now, it's going to wake up half the neighborhood. And my wife will probably punch me in the face.

I've only seen 2 E30 related relays go bad in my life. And the only reason they went bad was because they were literally submerged in water for an extended period of time. There are ways to check relays without swapping them out for new ones. Did you check for power at the fuel pump?

                    Status: HG repair. 488wtq though!

Why would they go bad between the time he parked the car and now? Why that ONE relay? More importantly, why not grab a multi meter and find out for sure?

I don't know; why did my FP relay suddenly die one day? Why did my main relay start cutting out randomly?

they're easy to test at least..

Doesn't it rain a lot in your part of the world? I guess environment makes a big deal. Do they use heavy salts on roads? That shit makes rust happy.
