Only thing that intimidates me is the wiring. I hate wiring.

Thats for sure the hardest part. Everything else is pretty straight forward. Not that the wiring isn't but it will take a little time in the manuals to make sure you get it right the 1st time.

          This.

Seriously, it's only 12 wires. Not hard at all.

The car is finally going in for exhaust work today, and an alignment next week. I'm really hoping to have it drivable by Monday!

But of the entire swap, what is the hardest in your opinion? The rest is nothing more than pulling out and replacing with different parts. The wiring is the only part that requires more than a few minutes of research. Thus the hadest part of the swap IMO.

Is this a FS add? Just curious.

It may only be 12 wires but, there's a lot more in the actual harness than 12 ;) It's by and large not "simple" to the average car enthusiast who is inexperienced. I still to this day have next to no faith in just "knowing" the right wire. The key is having resources and checking. Not having a bunch of guys standing around, circle jerking about how "easy" it is and feeling great and dandy about themselves because everyone else is too stupid to figure out this easiest of easy tasks...

                  Looking good Josh.

This is very true. Not saying that it's crazy hard, but the first time around, things might not be a cakewalk for some people. Personally, I would do the wiring though, as I find it to be fun:D

Nice progress as usual Mr Anderson

So after about 3-4 days of delays, the car is finally out at a friend's shop, exhaust work will be started tomorrow, should be done in the next few days.

After that it's in for an alignment on Thursday, and try to get in as much shakedown time as I can before we leave for the Picnic on Friday afternoon. I swear, this is becoming a recurring theme for the Picnic every year! Last year it was my adapters!

Exhaust work is being done as we speak, the guy doing it for me is even going to fab up some small skidplates for the underside of the cat and the X-pipes (OBDI E36 M3 pipes), they were already kind of banged up and he said he didn't want to see them get any worse, I didn't even have to ask, he just offered! He's going to let me know what type of connection he wants to do to the headers later today, and it should be done by Tuesday.
