got some stuff so i can shadowline, paint bumpers, and go over the existing black trim...plus a solution (Perfect plastic) that hopefully clears up some of my rear window (the receipt says i got it for $0.07!!!). the OOPS stuff is if i choose to delete the "325i" emblem.
i've thought about tinting my windows but would be afraid i'd look like a douche with the top down and windows up. im also not a fan of painting DB bumpers. you could polish them till they shine like chrome and tuck them, get euros, or just go to plastics with a vert. (plastics should be a direct bolt on but you should get a rear apron to hide the spare tire thing)

I'm not going to tint the windows...and I am going to paint the bumpers hopefully as something temporary. Eventually I am going to swap to plastic bumpers, I agree with you there.
So this weekend I painted the trim, the entire grill, high and low headlamp housing, polished all four headlamps, fixed a squeak in the rear left convertible top hardware, took armor-all wipes to the interior, and used Mother's back-to-black (used on license plate housing, front and rear bumpers, skirts, and front lip). here are some of the pictures while in the process...I'll try to take pictures of the final thing tomorrow when its light outside but its supposed to rain again so who knows.
**also, as far as the shadowlining went, I kinda messed up with the drivers side (i did this side first). The main part where I messed up was the small strip of chrome that goes from the front wheel well all the way to the rear wheel well. I used plastidip so cutting it with the razor blade was a pain until i figured out that cutting at an angle was much more effective. Even with these mistakes, from only 5-feet away I think it still looks good. Overall I like the result, I just may have to go over it again sometime to fix the little blemishes.
all the stuff that got painted was washed, dried, then hit with denatured alcohol, sanded, and then finally painted. It took forever!!
And, good work. Get plenty of air after you spray that shit. It'll fuck you up something fierce, and I'm not talking about the head rush high, I mean permanent issues you wont find out for 2-6 months.
Hopefully you used a self etching primer on the window trim. It'll chip easily if not... don't ask how I know (old 318) :-/.
Also don't spend too much time chasing rattles in a cabby ;)
haha i feel you...I'm probably going to go over it again this summer to make it look even better but your right, the cabby rattles aren't that bad and i'm gonna get a hard top next fall I think.
