Thanks guys. Blunt came over yesterday and helped me put the motor back in the car. After 18 months, its finally back in... :)

I admire the way super duper does things Every detail is perfect. I had a very hard time not telling him I wanted to buy his Mini while I was there. I would be warm in that thing this winter instead of the awesome e12 with "flow thru" heat

We have confirmation as to why he is known as SUPER DUPER (add rhyming name here)!

So sweet. I hope some day my engine is in & looks 1/2 as good.

Dude, it would make the perfect parts runner. It just needs some snowtires...

And it looks like you got the wheels and tires on there too! Afraid the world is ending soon or something?

....With near 80* temps in NH, I have to wonder, has Minnetonka thawed out enough to allow access to the secret lair yet? Will this be the year?

Lets hope so Chris, I have not been too good about working on this over the winter. Spring is here so I'm hoping to get motivated again...

As you can see its hitting the firewall even after removing the heatshield and cutting away some insulation. Talked with Todd at TCD and he thinks its the urethane motor mounts that are making the motor sit a little higher than the stock would. So, I ordered some factory mounts from Blunt and will give those a shot when they come in. The last thing I want to do is "persuade" the firewall.

I'm currently installing the main harness back into the car. More updates tomorrow...

It's always something. Sorry for the delay but I know you'll work it out and have this on the road before the end the decade!

                            lol

Mounts are in just need to pick them up tomorrow from Blunt's bunker. It's become painfully obvious how much I dont know about the M20. The car and motor have been apart for so long that its a struggle to do the easiest of tasks such as install an alternator. I'm fighting through it with the bentley, realoem, and just scanning through any picture I can find of an M20 and saving it to my computer.

Harness is in, I'm going to hold off on relocating the diagnostic plug and relays to the harness cover until this thing is running. I dont want any self induced snafu's that keep the car from starting the first time. I have enough new variables to work through in the hopes that the car runs.

Anyway, here are some pictures of progress!

So it looks like the mounts are not the issue...
