i need to put the camshaft back in the head with rockers too.
        clean block mating surface,
        put in the new waterpump,
put the head on the block,
put the new o rings on my injectors,
        and then reassemble everything else.
then fire it up and ride away into the sunset.

Clean everything Really, Really, Really well after using a scotchbrite (silicon carbide) pad like that.

oh yes. its in like every crevice hahaha i will be purchasing an air compressor and blow out everything.
if any is left behind it would score the shit out of the cylinder walls.
bad news if that happens haha.

I poured kerosen down the holes. With the oil pump and filter removed I then blew air down then seemed to removed all the crap.

do you feel it would of been cheaper and more effective to just pull the whole engine have the machine shop do the work your trying to do effortlessly and put new bearings in? when i had my twin turbo stealth 6g72 engine rebuilt it cost me 150 to hot tank the block <~~was sparkling clean 350 for two DOHC heads to be cleaned decked and new VSS installed, and 150 to turn the crank. assuming it would cost you less on the head since your only taking them one you would be looking at roughly $500 for engine machine work and another $400 assuming you use your old oil pump which i would not recommend. and reassemble everything yourself, patience and you can do it. but i understand its hard with a $400 bi weekly paying job with bills, lack of space to work and the wrong tools (no engine hoist)
good luck though, i am looking forward to seeing you make this engine start :)
