When I pulled my head off, I had no choice but to leave the intake manifold attached... it was pretty fucking heavy, especially since there was no good way to lift it. I stood in my engine bay with one foot on each strut tower and lifted. Then it was pretty easy..

We always leave the intake and exhaust manifolds attached. It's heavy but one person can do it if they're not a little girl.

so i have made more progress.. took a break dew to shitty weather past few weeks, last week it was sunny so i ceased the opportunity and cleaned my parents rat pack garage.
it took me about three 3pm - 3am evenings.... but it was well worth it, now she sits in the garage, with no hood.

went to town on her last night, got all accessory belts off, ended up snapping the AC bolt that glides along that toothed bracket.... not sure how everything was all loosened up, sure was a bitch though, just about broke my hand on the oil pan. also got the fuel rail out, and the thermostat off. thermostat is frozen in the housing :O good thing i ordered a housing as well :D
the night ended with me getting stuck at the "crank shaft pulley" or center pulley, didn't have a short or long enough extension to get the 6 13mm bolts out.
i also jacked it up to put on one of my RF's just for fun, after getting stuck. looks pretty funny with no tires and 2 feet of unsprung wheel gap.

pics later. im at work right now.

pulled the head this morning.... coolant passages all have horrible corrossion..... any suggestions on how to clean the coolant passages in the block and head?
my friends suggested i bolt it all back together and run chemicals and seafoam, then change out for my new water pump and what not.
not sure what to do.... pics later, im pretty bent right now :(

I'm a little girl and I took mine out to sell it. Even brought that thing to UPS to be packaged and shipped. So stop being a sissy and get that out of there.

how difficult would it be to strip the head and block down so they can be boiled?

The m20 isint hard. I wish i could just ship you my old M20. That i just rebuilt. That i dont want. How much would it cost to ship a motor to cali? Lol.

Seriously the m20 isint that hard. But the b27 isint really worth all the work.
