Holy shit, that was one hell of a hit! Yeah, I bet you're happy to be alive.

This is also why you get out of the car and go somewhere safe away from traffic, freezing your balls off or not. If need be, keep a jacket and a blanket in the car. Not to chastise you, because I probably would've done the same. Still, this should be a lesson to anyone reading.

All in all it was a shitty Location to break down.

It’s barely a car wide, 20 foot concrete wall against the passenger side that goes on for about .5 mile to the nearest exit, and going back from where I came it goes directly to an overpass connector style ramp that goes about 40 foot into the air.

Normally I wouldn’t be in the car but in this situation, if I was outside of the car it could have ended up worst. It was a sketchy spot.

damn! that's so gnarly. That car got crumpled. First page of this, accident. Last page of this, bigger accident. Glad you're in one-piece.

Have you thought about using some heat and a ball point hammer? Maybe it will pound out?

Jeezuz...... I'm glad you're ok, man. Looks like the b-pillar post has let go. And I agree with you - if there's no safe place to stand, being in the metal cage is better than being run down.

Craziest part is upon further examination the garagistic rear strut brace appeared to be straight somehow. LOL.

                Here’s some more pics

Except the whole trunk is 45º from the rest of the car...

Did you have injuries? Are you alright? Maybe you're not supposed to say yet - sorry.

God I wish I took that roundel, I have no idea how it survived.

Definitely sustained some injuries, in an active lawsuit can’t really speak on it.

Thanks man, I was in total shock when I saw the car for the first time, I’m definitely a lucky son of a bitch to be alive.

Oh yeah! That’s exactly what I said. I would have never gotten rid of that car I wanted to keep it forever, but I love it twice as much now that it saved my life and I’ll forever be grateful to the car.
The amount of damage, and the way the cabin driver area stayed intact are insane. Especially considering the truck is about 5,000lbs fully loaded. I would have never expected the car to hold up like this.

There has to be a way for you to get ahold of it, it would be a fantastic mantle piece if you were to mount it in a small glass case.
Glad to see you're alive, that's an enormous hit!
