gotchya, i kind of like the diving boards. I think i might bumper tuck and polish them, get a front valance, some taurus side skirts and rear valance. Idk i feel like a lot of people don't like the db's

That was my original plan, I was going to tuck and paint the bumpers and surrounds to match the car and use a IS valance, Taurus skirts and an eBay rear valance. Basically like this but with sides and a rear valance and blue. BUT, the euro bumpers came along and I couldn't resist.#30 Overengineer'd Racing - Wilton, NH

The euro conversion (Bumpers, trim, valance, fogs, lip, euro grills, kidney, mounts, nuts and bolts) ran me $725 shipped. If it wasn't so complete I would have passed on it. I will be posting an early IS valance and a set of painted front bumper surrounds in the classifieds soon, PM me if you are interested in them.
I knew it was something like that. Well there is less of it now:

More progress. Passenger side is nearly done, just a couple spots to go over:

Sanded down the roof and have it in filler primer. I need to work on it more to get it a bit smoother.:

Next is cleaning up the rear. Lots of unnecessary holes, some rust around a plate light and more Schutz to wire wheel off.#30 Overengineer'd Racing - Wilton, NH

I do have to say this car is the oddest car I have worked on. Rockers are mint but the sunroof is so rusty its unsalvagable. The trunk lip looks brand new, but where the hinge mounts to the lid it's so corroded that I broke 2 of the 4 bolts off.#30 Overengineer'd Racing - Wilton, NH

I took a break from bodywork due to work and family commitments but will resume this coming week. I have the euro valance sent out to repair a rust hole in the corner.
In the meantime, this came today. It needs some tlc but the glass is in great shape and I can refinish the trim when I work on the door trim.#30 Overengineer'd Racing - Wilton, NH

I know its been a while but I spent the past week and weekend working on the car again. I have removed the last of the Schutz on the rear apron and removed the DB trim brackets. This week I'm removing trim and cleaning the jams to prepare them for paint. I have a friend coming over to weld in patches in a few rust spots I found. Once those are finished, and filled I will finally be ready to get some paint on it!

I have been slacking on the updates but over the past weekend I finally got the last coat of paint on. Here are some pics but the car is covered with pollen (not in the paint) from having the doors open all day so its not quite as shiny looking as it really is.

I'm going to try to get it out in the sun as much as possible over the next couple weeks and then start the final wet sanding and polishing. In the meantime I'm starting to rehab the interior.#30 Overengineer'd Racing - Wilton, NH

While the paint is curing over the next couple weeks I'm going to get the interior rehab started. Here is what it looked like when I bought the car:

Here are some progress pics of the removal:
Carpet is in great shape but I'm going to dye it black.

Umm, yea... I have a crack free dash to swap in.

The old seats are being used for parts, the parcel shelf and B-Piller trim is being re-dyed.

Removed and pressure washed the carpet.

Need to do a little rust cleanup, but there is no rot.
