Meh... whatever. Just type "megasquirt m30" into google and it'll take you to the right place. Do some reading on megasquirts.

Sizing the turbo is a little bit more complicated than that. You have two options:

Option 1
1. Read this http://www.gnttype.org/techarea/turbo/turboflow.html
2. Use this calculator to pick a turbo, just make sure you read up on how to read a map http://www.motorgeek.com/?fullpage=true&page=flowcalc

Option 2
1. Assume Kam's the man and knows what he's doing (protip, he does). Copy his setup or alternatively buy his kit when it eventually comes out
2. Profit

here is how i size turbos
1.research what works on what motors and how to size correctly
2.buy turbo- see how it works on your car
3. if things did not go according to calculations sell the turbo and grab another that has the qualities your current turbo was missing. you'll lose a couple hundred but you'll learn what works.

I personally used or built M20's running 5 different turbos, before I found one that worked perfect.

Do you think you sized your turbo properly with the m30

yup, breathes very well up top, and spools by 2800rpms. It might be a little big for lower boost levels but for my goals it worked perfect.

sooo, went to start car to go to car meet but sounds like terrible knocking noises and like something is kicking the clutch pedal.
But for some reason clutch still works? I rolled like a foot to check, if I raise rpm it kind of quiets the knocking but still lots of vibrations on the pedal.

I did notice some vibrations on the pedal during the drive today but everything worked as expected and there was no clattering/knocking noises

not sure what happened, car was running when parked.

really hoping its just like severe getrag rattle and not the motor or clutch

Need to bust out a mechanics stethoscope. If its the motor you'll know real quick. Good luck hopefully its nothing. Maybe a blown out mount?

I'm thinking its the the input shaft bearing on the trans, I also now remember I had what seemed like driveline vibration and a small clicking noise like the driveshaft was scraping on something, but when jacked up I couldn't re create it unless the car was moving under its own power.


I'm going to film a video of the noise soon.(just idling in garage) the rattle is louder than a straight piped car so I doubt this is the getrag rattle that people can live with.



But I'm thinking I need a new g260 for the M30, so who has one they are willing to sell me?
