Are you cuttin the battery tray out so that you have more room for the turbo??

I'm not sure yet. There should be plenty of room for it without cutting it out. It will make a good mount for my wasted spark.

Remember how I said I was doing an M20 swap into my 318is? Well, I'm done, and it runs!!!

So: '87 325is to '91 318is, the C101 connectors simply plug together, no pins need to be moved. You will need to get power to the little white plug by the ECU though. No idea why BMW didn't run that through the main harness. Could make an awesome anti-theft cutoff switch location though.

No it's a 3-prong plug that just sort of pops out of the wire harness a few inches from the DME, and plugs into another harness that spans the dash, and gets 12V power to the middle prong i believe which is vital for spark for some reason. I just don't like that they have such a vital electrical path separate from the rest of the harness, even though it is going to the same place (DME connector).

The M42 car doesn't have that plug on the chassis side, no. It has a completely different ignition system and I am sure gets power to the ignition in a more sensible way. So i literally used the 12V feed from my glove box flashlight charger to power the ignition. 12V is 12V... Besides, in a rally car, I am not concerned with silly things like "clean wiring" or "aesthetic appeal", or "doing it right". ;)

I'll probably end up doing that too. I'm running a wasted spark setup with megasquirt so I'm not positive if I'll need that, probably will though since its a plug and play Megasquirt.

On my harness I have a 4 prong, which I see in my car and then a 2 prong that I can't find a female end for.

I just really want the durability of bedliner, I don't want to have to be all anal about it haha.

I like the unique factor of the bed liner too.

Today was a bondo day. This is my first time using bondo. Its pretty simple stuff to use. Debating bondo'ing all the seams.
