Just snip the wires, I don't think they're important ;)

it can, kinda. but it's a nightmare to do. actually, the nightmare part would be connecting everything back together when you were done..

It's probably not worth the time and effort Im sure. I'm just going to try and suspend it the best I can

Worked on smoothing things out more today. Weather is crappy so i didn't do much.
Some parts are stubborn and I think I'm not going to be able to make it perfect. Now i have to focus on the area behind the strut towers and the frame rail. Those areas are kind of a pain to get to.

How do a most people mount a m20 coolant reservoir on a 318?

I was planning on drilling a hole for the top mount and then maybe welding the bracket that came factory on the 325i on.

Today I want to get all of the engine bay primed hopefully.
To do this I found the easiest way might be to hang the fuse box and wires from above. We will see how this works out.

All that for this much room!

Didn't get everything primed like I wanted. This dang sealant took forever to get off and I also smoothed out and primed some other areas more.
These two crannies behind the strut towers are a pain and up under the battery tray.
They are close to being ready for primer

this is before I got to it

This is after fiddling with it for 20+ minutes

Wow, the bay prep looks awesome. I'm glad you're taking your time on this, the M20 will look like a jewel sitting in a great setting.

Removing the SRS brain is EXTREMELY easy. Undo 4 nuts and it comes right out, unplug two electrical connectors or so, and it's gone.
