Yes, that is generally was play would mean. I really think you're clevis is adjusted in correctly. Janderson had the same issue with his car. -
Not sure what you mean by play in the pedal?

Thread the clevis so that you have some play in the brake pedal. I know you say "I don't know how its supposed to feel" but just try it and see if it works.Leave a comment:

Barely made it home today! The damn brakes are locking up still
