No more exhaust rattle--took it all off and got it welded again this weekend. I used a hose clamp instead of a rubber hanger on the subframe to get this adjustment right.

Took this:

And added this:


Now I can have no top and not worry about it raining. It doesn't line up or close perfectly, but it'll be only for emergencies so I don't really care.

All done for the weekend:


I'll wash it tomorrow or the day after, this things super dusty inside and out.

Just spent 1300 bucks. Ground control coilovers with adjustable Koni's, as well as an ejnight cross brace which could easily be my most important upgrade. All I really need now are subframe bushings, motor mounts, front sway bar end links, and a diff mount. I looked into my control arms and tie rods and they seem to have been recently replaced. I put the money into better coilovers.

Normally (not that I've used it more than twice) I just plug my iPhone in and go. It'll shuffle through everything and I just don't touch it. The remote is infrared so you'll have to have the glovebox open to use it, but it's much better than feeling for those buttons while driving.

I just wish it didn't just say "Accessory Connected" on the iPhone and not let me control it on there. It'd be much better if I could skip songs and change the volume right from my iPhone that's right there, and i'd almost never have to open the glovebox. I hope there's a way around that...(using an aux connection would probably work, which I may just do).

There are a couple things you can do depending on how adventurous you are. The easiest thing to do would be to get an infrared repeater. Basically a device that you stick on to the front of your head unit and you mount a new pickup sensor anywhere you want. What i would personally do is take apart the faceplate and un-solder the IR sensor. Then solder some wire on to the circuit board and then relocate the IR sensor to somewhere like under the HVAC panel or inside the tape deck area.

I've been ignoring it for now. I just open the glove box and adjust the volume when needed, and I figured out how to switch songs from the phone. Simple enough and it works great, so I won't mess with it anymore.

Front was meh, it was fine but not too grippy. I noticed that the front was immediately better with race springs/bilsteins. Rear was pretty finicky with one blown shock, the rates weren't hight enough (imo), and it was pretty bouncy. For what it cost it wasn't bad, and for what I sold it for the buyer got a pretty good deal. But I'm excited to have something better.

Finish could be a bit better but it looks like it'll do the job. Hopefully it won't flex much, it doesn't look like it will.

I literally JUST got an email saying that my GC's have shipped, should be here tomorrow :D

Also got these today, picking up brackets in the next day or two.

Everything's for sale, but this hard top is worth at LEAST 2k to me, probably slightly more actually.
