    E30 W/ Nitrous Powaa :D

Update: I'm currently on vacation in France and Norway and around Europe so i am not working on the car, but right when i get back ill start posting pics and working on it every day! Thanks for reading :D

Ok hey guys, I'm pretty new but have been browsing r3v for a year now! I recently got my e30 a 87 325is and I have decided to go for a cheap way to gain power. I'm aware there aren't many nitrous builds here on r3vlimited but I'm de deciding to give it a go.

Ok so my car currently has been rebuilt about 70k miles ago all OEM parts I plan on putting in a new MLS head gasket, resurfacing my head and decking my block. And I'm going to go with either ARP studs or metic blue bolts depending on how the money situation is. Once all that is done I'm going to purchase a brand new BMW nitrous kit from Zex it is a dry nitrous kit and I'm going to do either 55 or 65 shot what ever I decide on. I plan on getting it professionally installed by a friend at synergy motorsports in Fremont CA. I want to here your guy's opinions and thoughts. And please don't post about how I shouldn't do this or I should do a swap or a turbo. Thanks!

    Modifications before Nitrous:
•MLS head gasket (decked block and resurfaced head)
    •Hopefully ARP studs
    •19lb mustang Injectors
•Colder spark plugs (NGK V-Power), give me your opinion on the plugs

It's a good idea, but I recommend to do other mods to gain nice output power, like:

    Headers, exhaust system
Bigger injectors (19lb) possibly from m30b35
    FPR
    Chip
    Strong clutch
    Ported head

I did this thing before with those above mods, it was AWESOME

    Good luck,

A bunch of years ago there was a book called the "BMW Enthusiasts Companion" (or something similar). It was basically a collection of classic DIY articles from old issues of The Roundel. Anway, they had an article on installing nitrous on an E28 5-series. Can't remember if it was an M20 or M30. But see if you can find a copy on Amazon or someplace. Might help.

Nitrous: The most cost effective (to a point) way to cheap power.

Protip: Run a wet shot, don't fuck around with dry, you'll lean out and go BOOM.

you could also run m50 injectors whichever seems more cost effective and would be better for the build!

Nothing's wrong with a proper nitrous setup.

Unfortunatatly Zex doesn't have a wet kit :/ and well I won't get lean or how ever the term is supposed to be used. Because I'll be operation with the TC window switch, where if I choose to be spraying I'll spray from 3k to 6k RPM in each gear. + I'm planning on getting bigger injectors and MAYBE meth injection.

Well I think it is a bad idea but what ever. Nitrous really requires a well built engine with good cooling system. How much do you think you will use it and for how long will it be enguaged?

How much is the kit going to cost you?

This probably more then what the ZEX kit is going to cost but this way you will always have power at your disposal and don't have to refill the bottel.

I ran a 50 shot (dry) for a while, fun stuff if used correctly. I drive like a grandma so I wired the box up via WOT. I have bigger injectors and the ability to adjust timing/fuel maps which helps tremendously.
