    the Aluminum Monster. a 318 with a special 24v

Today was a successful day after a headache yesterday. Rain in LA ruins everything. It's been a rough winter lol

Still managed to get the M3 tabs welded but was too late to install the coilovers. Today, I started the day off by getting them installed so I could get the car to JMP before they closed.

    The start

And the finish. Didn't take any other pics during the work because I wanted to finish

    More weight reduction

And once I was done I took it around the block and parked it under the sun

Drove the ~20 miles to he shop and it was shockingly comfortable

And some artsy fartsy shots or something lol

edit: almost forgot! haha... after all this was said and done, Charlie (sh3rpak!ng) came and grabbed me so we would work on the rear seat deletes that we started working on last week. big credit and shout to mr abby ghanoush (ak-) for spending way too much time on it last week. Cant wait to get these out to him to get upholstered. We might make a few extras to sell if theres any interest, PM one of us

Not yet, it's a low priority.

Whoa whoa whoa buddy, put that trouser snake away there's kids here

It's currently with Abby (ak-) getting upholstered, and it most likely won't be back in my possession for a little while.

Right now I'm more concerned with getting the car back from the shop and seeing how much she weighs and how awesome it handles

They are 1186 sport, but I can't comment yet as I've only driven up and down the freeway. I'll give you a solid comment after Saturday

That's the balanced weight with 190# ballast in the driver seat

                  That means 2327# wet!!!

Dang... Pretty good. I'm shooting for 2350# with the M54, so that's encouraging. I have more bars than you though :) (but less carpet and most other things that a street car would have)

Yea I still have the front half of the cage to do but that's also when the carpet, sunroof and a few other things will come out so hopefully it will balance out. I'm pretty happy with the car right now

What was your weight with the S50?

So much fun today. It rained last night but the track was fairly dry. Best time of my first session was 1:57, final session was 1:48. I'm pretty satisfied. Not sure if anyone got action pics, but I got a few

                          I love this pic

This is where we were posted up in between sessions

How's the aluminum holding up on your track days? Do you get concerning or high temp readings?

Grip for days. So insane. I was hounding a new Z06 and he ran away from me on the straights but I was on his ass right before. So ridiculous what this car is capable of. I hope to get my skill level to push this car to its full potential.

My fan works overtime, I'll be upgrading the cooling system eventually but this car and it's heart are out there terrorizing cars that cost a LOT more
