My only question is where does the thermostat install at?

There are 2. The main thermostat is in the engine cases, you can see the top of it in front of the oil pressure switch in this picture. It's the football shaped piece of aluminum with two nuts holding it down (you can only see one nut in the pic).



The second thermostat controls oil flow to the front oil cooler. It's in front of the rear wheel with the 2 shiny oil lines going into it.

WOW! E30's and old Porsche's were always my favorite set of wheels. Maybe one day when I don't live in a city where it snows or the roads suck.

Disassembled my pedal cluster, welded an adjustable stop on my on my clutch pedal and took all the parts over to get powder coated. There will be water on the floor at some point so the powder is mainly for protection.


EDIT: Powder coater just called 3 hours after i dropped the parts off, powder coating is ready to pick up !
