Your car is so cool. Wish I knew what a car like this feels like.

I decided to fix my bracket flex. I was losing belts at over 6k rpm from the ESS bracket flexing. Did some research and found that the guy I purchased the bracket from didn't include the lower reinforcement bracket that prevents flex.

I emailed ESS and they actually replied and sent me the original installation manual with pics. Seems like ESS is a good company. I decided to make up my own bracket. I've never welded before but I found it pretty easy especially with steel this thick.

Among other things I'm trying to get my fuel pressure under 60psi.. The ODB2 rail doesn't flow enough fuel to go below that.

Also I got a wicked sunburn on the back of my hands and arms from welding. Guess I'll wear gloves from now on

The gear you need to wear while welding is no joke, I got some major burns on my legs from the little sparks burning holes through my jeans and shirt.

Are you still thinking about selling the drivetrain or did that idea fade away?

I would sell it but there's no buyers. Not on r3v at least.

What's the plan if it does sell?

Has anyone reading this thread bought and installed an aftermarket fuel tank?
I've confirmed that my fuel pressure problems are because of a clogged venturi in the fuel return.

                            i've installed a fuel cell

i've also bought a stock replacement tank off Amazon, but haven't installed it yet, so it's clean and accessible if you need to check something out.

Is it actually the same as the late model tank with the siphon tube? The pictures on amazon make it look different.
