So I started playing with the WG dumps last night. (This hood is not being used, just for mock up, cleaner cuts will be made) I did these teardrops, but not quite sold. Think that maybe the cut needs to sit at the same plane as the hood?
    1. Keep running with this design
    2. drop the tear drops and go with slash cut
    3. slash cut shallow of the hood line and use aluminum grating as a vent

I'm just not sure I like this, I want too, but I'm on the fence. I'm going to try some slash cut ends tonight and upload those pictures. I also have the pretty cool perforated aluminum, thought maybe leave the dumps under the hood and vent through the aluminum?

    Thoughts?

+1, the teardrops are pretty gangster. plus, unless you're doing hood pins on all four corners it's gonna be a bitch dealing with an exhaust that's not flush with the hood (or slightly sunk)

I have a fiberglass hood with Aero catch latches in front. but yes it;s already a pain as is. more I look at the tear drops the less I like them. going to try slash cut flush with hood tonight.

Maybe even dick around with a fender exit behind the strut tower.

fender dump would also look pretty sweet

also, who makes your angle grinder? is it just me or can you actually change the angle of the disc?

Its made by Mac. I bought it off my brother inlaw. It's to BEST angle grinder I have every owned. I can not stop the disc in metal. and yes you can change the angle, it does straight or 45* in either direction. pretty bad ass.

Thats happening regardless of WG dump location. Still might try fender dump behind strut tower. Aluminum is a great heat sink.....and it'll be riveted to resin and fiberglass.....

Made a little progress. Not as much as I had hoped though. Local guy is building a drift car wit ha KA24, has some redneck hillbilly "helping" him.....good ol' merican muscle boy. spent 3 hours over there weeding though his as backwardness.

Went home a took of tear drops, and marked up the hood.

Added some straights to the dumps.......naca duct location maybe??

bought as far as I got on the hood last night, aluminum is over at my storage unit so I'll go get that tomorrow.

I really liked where it was going after I got the hood on so I said screw it and started welding the pipes up.

Here is a little time lapse of me welding one of the tubes.
