This manifold isn't for my car, its for FLG on here (Frank Leogrande). But thank you, I'll get back to my car soon enough.

So, how demeaning are the acts that Frank is performing for this service?

Didn't get a lot done on the manifold this weekend, I sent the 4" radius pieces back to swap out for more 2" and they haven't shown up yet. I did rework the collector and get it welded up.

Also built a custom oil pan for a buddy thats putting a Nissan KA into a 510. He has a 240 subframe with rack and pinion steering so we needed to make it rear sump. Turned out decent.

More to come this week once the extra manifold kit piece come in.

Well it was a really busy week for me. I'm a few weeks into my last semester of classes, have a remodel project at home and about 2-3 weeks to get this finished. I ended up sending in the 4" radius pieces in exchange for more 2". Thats your common elbow radius for sch10. Once those came in I worked on final design of the manifold.

After several revisions and beers this is what I can up with. I will not claim until I can confirm with a volume test, but these runners should all be 1/4"(+/-) of equal length. My whole intent of these manifolds was to try and make the best performing twin scroll I could with the technology and products I had available. Each runner currently utilizes (17) 1" CL piece.

Also with my design I wanted ease of installation, and to be able to service your plugs without having to remove everything. Right now I'm pretty close to meeting those goals. The stud location in the picture above is the only tight area I'm fighting with. The head of that bolt is very large compared to the actual hardware.

Plug wise I think the #4 will be the only pita ass location due to the turbine housing clearance with the valve cover. A clever ratchet might solve that issue. (note, that turbo with sit about 3/4" lower.)

Great thing about this kit is you can get a lot of your materials pre-cut. So is spent a few hours cutting and prepping all the straights, at that point I couldn't just leave so I fitted up one of the runners.

In all I'm REALLY happy with how its turning out. Will be really excited to share the results of the volume test on the runners. Hopefully this coming weekend.

Thanks man, I appreciate that. Got about halfway through it last night, see if I can get to might shop one more time this week. Then start the finish welding this weekend.

Nice work on the manifold. Coming along nicely. Saw your post over on the tech about fuel system specs. e85 is def the way to go. You won't have a whole lot of wiggle room with the 450 pump. They're good for bout 550hp at the flywheel on e85. Also remember everything in the fuel system has to be e85 capable. Meaning all rubber, even the injector o-rings. The stock regulator may work, but I wouldn't trust it too. You may also run into issue's with the stock fuel rail, because of it's small volume. Couple big injector's, higher fuel volume demands due to hp levels, and finally the extra 30% fuel just cause of e85 and you can see where issue's can arise. You can actually empty the stock rail faster than it can be filled. Normally what you'll see is leaning out at higher rpm coupled with a slight drop in fuel pressure.

Looks like I'm due for an update!

Well here you go, not the most recent, I actually have 5 of the 6 runners fabbed out. I ran out of straight pipe so I'll finish the 6th one tonight.

I got all the runners for cyl. 1-3 finished so I started welding them up.

Then I ran out of argon.........exchanging my tank tonight and grabbing more pipe.

I also figured it was time to put a face to a name.......

I'm the Stig of the fabrication world, nice to meet you.

Going to be a busy weekend with Easter and family so I took next Monday off to wrap it up. Then off to the powder coater.

Probably one of my last updates on this, Need to do some final welding of the runners to the flanges and collectors. Overall, really happy with it, learned a lot, will do quite a few things different next time, spawned some different design ideas as well.

I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.
