I actually really like how you did that hood vent. Me thinks you should flare the end of those dump tubes a hair.

Did I miss where you got that mesh at to cover the large hole in the hood?

Looks really nice! Might want to paint the mesh black to make it less noticeable when it gets carboned up from the dumps. I like when things look cleaner though so that's just me.

I love it. You are not afraid. Thank you.

So are you not cutting out bigger holes in the hole-y aluminum for the dumps to go through/flush? Because I want you to do that.

Yeah I didn't say where I got it. It was actually free to me, bought for a customer at work over a year ago and he never came and got it, boss said I could have it. You can buy it from a company called McNickles I think is the name......be prepared for sticker shock.....the 48"x60" sheet will run you about $300 shipped.....

It will, this hood is a spare that I have for mocking things up. I have a fiberglass hood with frame I'll be using but wasn't comfortable slicing holes in that until I knew I would like it.

I have a funny feeling I might have too, we'll see. something tells me that the gates blasting the aluminum is going to get really freaking hot. if so I'll open up some holes.

am i the only one who thinks a black grommit / rubber seal running along the edge of that cut out hole would really make the whole package look good?

also, fuck cutting holes in the aluminum. it would look gangster as fuck if you painted this symbol on the vent and put "danger" or something underneath it

I like the vent. Is there a chance of melting/warping the aluminum under extended usage?

Haven't really checked this thread since I sold that MS2 to you back in the beginning.

Glad to see it didn't get a v8!

Thanks, been really busy at work and remodeling our master bathroom as well. I'm actually going to be focusing on my fuel system next, ordering a cell, pump, lines injectors etc and getting that put together. I need the cell to finish the chassis work in back as I have an idea on incorporating the cell mount into the rear frame rails.
