            Your shits tilted.

Should have swapped an m50 in there, its cheap, readily available, no timing belt, no valve adjustments. The fucking thing is lined with gold and far superior in every aspect, plus it produces about 20-30 more unicorn power than the infidels m20.

The car looks great man, I cannot wait to see videos of it burning those tires up.

Yup. Truth be told, I love the m20. When I did my 5.0 car I regretted it deeply. Should have just done a turbo m20. The m20 is about as soul filled as an engine can come IMO.

Well aside from the added weight (except for the aluminum m52), all 24v engines are superior to the m20. Stock head and manifolds out flow any m20 race head out there by a long shot, and Vanos spools turbos earlier. OBD2 motors have great knock detection on the stock DME, OBD1 and OBD2 DMEs can have factory 2 step, and are FAR superior in every way to the calculator technology running the m20. There simply is no argument as far as which motor is better. The m20 is great for a solid 250-400whp turbo set-up, but it won't compare in any respect to a properly turbo 24v. I've driven and owned both, no comparison. Even the m30 falls short, but it's more of a monster when turbo'd than an m20.

Gotta love everyone building their turbo m20s all out just to fall short of what junkyard a m50/2 can do with arp studs, a cutring gasket, an ebay turbo kit and good tuning.

M20s are only cool when 37% of their power goes to the front wheels.

Have yet to drive a well operating iX, but I'm sure it's great when it works right!

Does anyone ever weld the front diff like DSM guys do on an iX?

I'm sure you're right in all that it was more just a laugh based on what some kid said. I had a great opportunity with this motor, and really what I have into it and they help I've had with it I don't think I could have done an m50/52 for much cheaper. this will be a good starting motor, the car is going to need a serious driver mod anyways haha!

Thanks for the compliments though, I'm about as ready to get this thing going as everyone else!
