While I’m waiting on parts on blk m car and red m car. I went back on to silver e30 preparing body work. I pulled the off front valance of to primer and paint it. I separated the Hartge front air dam from vanlance.
After sanding and priming it I painted it.

Has anyone done zinc this on their calipers?

I think thats what PMB does, and they do totally high-end stuff

I spoke to Mario that owns a shop that zinc plates, polish aluminum and chrome. He said he can dip is rust removal and bead plast the rust off. I wired brush the rust off the rear calipers. On the rears I toured them down. On the fronts I left the piston and plugged the other holes. I’m thinking of putting back the rear pistons to zinc plate then.
Has anyone done zinc this on their calipers?
I been ordering more parts for the e36 m3 brakes on my blk m car.
The rotors will be new.

I drilled the shit out of hung to see how I could lighten it up. I did like how much it weighted. I ordered some aluminum 3/8 thick on eBay. The sent a 1/4 thick. I traced it and cut to shape. I polished it up and drilled a few holes. I was able to get more than half of the stock weight.
I could not find my other rear set e36 m3 calipers. I some rusted rear e36 m3 calipers. I toke them apart to wire brush them. I called the zink and chrome shop if they could sink plate them front and rear. He said yes. I ordered the new pistons and rubber seals.

I finally finished my fourth wheel with new chrome OZ bolts. I did break my OZ socket. I will need to order a other set.
I bought an other under tray. The old was falling apart. I like these because they are made of plastic. I will be buying a couple more for other projects.

That hood hinge looks amazing! How hard was it to drill it out so much!?!

It was not hard it took time line up measurements. If you have a drill press it would be more easier. Of course I didn’t. My buddy said I need a drill press. I used 3/4 washers line up on my 1” blue tape. I measured around to mark in to 1/4” I would transfer my tape 180 degrees to line up my punched hole to drill with a small drill bit.

I worked on hood hinges to lighten up the front. I saw an other member do this to track car Moatilliata. I was able to get hinges and hood linkage a pound. I will be ordering a Karbonius carbon fiber hood that weighs 12lbs. The factory hood weighs 44lbs. This e30 is street car. I wanted to shave weight off the front as possible. The carbo hood, hinges and ABS unit is 43lbs. For now Im good. The front bumper weighs a lot.

I finally got e90 hats on blk m car. I have hade them for more that 10 years laying around. I bought 15mm spacers for front suspension. When I started to pull sturts off to add e90 hats. I tested my e36 m3 front calipers on my e30 m3 sturt. They bolted up. I am going to order a 12mm spacer to fit between hub and rotor.
I’m going use e36 m3 front and rear brakes and rotors plus e36 m3 parking brake pads. I took a pick of my 27 year old H&R racing springs.
I love how the blk m car handles with H&R and Beilstein,’s plus camber plates.

I bought a couple tweeters for the red car and few speaker pods for e30. I didn’t like how they were sitting with after market pods. I will place them on top of 5.25 speakers. I will order new bmw pods.

I also bought H&R 25mm spacers for the blk m car for the front. I didn’t like how far they sat. I had a few wheel spacer like 15mm spacers. I like how far it sat. I bought new 15mm spacer with bolts.

The French Yellow lights look fantastic against the black.

I seen a blk e30 m3 with Frenchy yellow lights. I been wanting to add them to my m e30.

I didn’t add these to the red m e30. I added this to the clear fog lights with yellow flim.

Love those seats... I love mine. I used planted seat brackets with the Recaro sliders because I already had the sliders and sold off the old, torn up Sport seats.

I agree with you. I always dream of owning and installing into on of my e30 years.
