Yeah man, check out Richland Rd. It's off of 321 on the way up to boone. Also there are some little dirt roads out behind grandfather mountain that have some fun wheeling spots but it's really confusing and hard to get to.
Surprisingly that's about it up here.
The guy is giving me my money back so that worked out nicely hahaComment

Came home tonight for the weekend so hopefully I can get stuff done.
My main goal is to get the exhaust installed. Then I'll get to other stuff such as the aux fan and m3 wiring cover.
I got some parts in the mail so I had to at least install one of them.
K&N air filter because c'mon, what other air filter would you buy?

Came home for the weekend and got a little bit done on the car.
The exhaust is finished and tacked in place but I need just need to TIG it all together. I'm not good at TIG welding so waiting on my Dad to help me out with that.

I went and picked up some 5mm spacers for my wheels. They were a little rusty so I cleaned them up a bit.
Before:

After:

Then it was finally that time I have been waiting for, test fit. Two of the tires I got to bead really easily but I couldn't get the last two. The back side of the bead was on but I never got the front to bead to I tried the starter fluid method and that didn't work. I ended up just getting the tires to sit on 3 wheels while me and some friends pushed down of the face to get the wheel further in the tire while we tried to put air in it. Ended up working so that was good.
After all that here is the final result.

Ignore how awful my alignment is

Pretty excited to finally put them on. Definitely needs more low but that will be fixed here in about two weeks

Nice XJ. I have always wanted to buy a cheap XJ and cut the top off and weld a cage and just make it a rock crawler. Wouldn't cost much at all and it would be super bad ass.Comment
