Gunna try to get as much done as I can this week. Chrome is a tough sob was getting mad finger cramps from fingering the cracks. ;). Also still up in the air if I should clear coat. Paint is rustoleum "aluminum" enamel. Hoping it's going to be a bit tougher than typical spray paint. All of my wheels have been rattle canned because I'm cheap/broke life, but when you do it enough times you learn what works, and what looks good

Wasn't to happy with the finish. So more sanding! Removing as much orange peel as I can then going to see how well this paint polishes

Well as long as your wheels aren't damaged or chrome it's pretty simple. That is if you want a quicky job you can knock it in an afternoon. Use some scotchbrite rough up the surface uniformly, wash, dry, and paint.

Not much to update. Black aluminum valve stems are in. Need to order new lugs. Haven't decided if I want to convert to studs or just run extended bolts.



Other two wheels are in primer and one of the 16x8s got clear coat. Steady progress. Also found some Lorinser caps, but unsure how they'll fit. Just gunna have to wait till they come in. Overall I think they're turning out great absolutely they best wheel job I've done to date.

Wheels are done. Looking fucking mint. I'm happy. If anyone is wondering how much they weigh im guessing about 20 pds a piece. Boat anchors.


Here's all the paint I used. About 60-70$ worth. 5 cans color, 5 clear, 3 cans of etching primer

Yea I've seen that. There's a dude on Craigslist with the same swap for 650. That listing has been up for at least a year, but I've been trying to figure out where in my budget I can fit in a 5 speed swap. Eventually I want to swap for sure the mpg benefits alone are worth it.
