Def check the TPS. Take a day and test every sensor at ambient and operating temp. When I did all mine I had a bad TPS, coolent temp sensor, O2 sensor, and a dead spot in the AFM.

How's your plugs look? Oil smell like gas? It sounds rich, does the surging go away when it reaches temp?

ICV checked out so I will be checking my tps adjustment tomorrow I'm also gonna pop the stock chip in and see what happens when that gets put back in.

    Thanks!

So i got my new sensor in and no mas. Car still surges but now it surges on start up and will eventually choke it self out. I unplugged icv and car did nothing. So wonder if its that? I will take it home and ohm it out and see whats up and if my spare is any good. Also wonder could it maybe be TPS out of adjustment?

Sorry, we couldn’t find that page

Thanks! Get started! The sooner you start the sooner you'll be done and driving.

So today I started with my temp switch for the electric fan. Its shot, I jumped the two wires going in and the fan kicked on. I then moved on to the coolant temp sensor that sends to the dme its shot aswell.

Manual calls for 2100-2900 I'm significantly less. So I backed off the throttle cable to where it was as i was just messing with it for no reason. I'm 3 damn sensors away....

btw in pic throttle cable as zero slack in it. Its back to how it should be now I was testing something.

It was. and it has plenty of slack in it. I'm gonna play with it more maybe it wasnt really affecting things and I was messing with it for no reason.

Its got slack in it. I just had to much slack in it. I came to the realization that the high idle has followed motors so I think once i get it fixed they both will go away. I'm going to ohm my temp sensor to see if that could be an issue. I need to get that wide band ripped off the s2k and in my car.

I got it to even out by just giving it some gas and holding it for a second and then letting out, I also adjusted the throttle cable it give it some more fuel. It idles fairly high and when I let off the throttle it surges still. It did how ever fix my light throttle bogging issue. I also let the car get up to operating temp and the instant my needle clicked over to center my car started surging and i had to go give it some juice and adjust the cable nut just a hair. If i loosen the cable nut from wear its at the car will surge. Once i get it to stop surging and idle down i think i'll be okay. I believe those two problems are hand-in-hand and once one is fixed the other will follow. Wonder if its not a coolant temp sensor?

My euro 320i/B6 3.5 Alpina Tribute the never ending saga

Got the mark D' chip in. Video is of very first start up. I was told it would likely do this and i need to give it a couple restarts to get 1.3 mo to acclimate. It only ran for maybe a min. Also may need go adjust the tb screw for the cable.

Also bought my buddies Aem wideband off his turbo s2k cause he's going Ls1 so now i will be able to measure my air fuel and see if i need injectors. Just need him to pull it off the car now.

I really haven't decided on if I want to put the stripes on or not. Not sure I wanna put stickers on such a nice paint job I may just put ALPINA in white letters front and center of the valence and call it good.

Thanks. Hopefully this chip will fix my issue and then my new temp sensor and Wideband and it should be drivable.
