Annnnnd it doesnt run...... Starter engages but after that I get nothing. From what I have read I'm wired up right. Idk which relay is the main relay so idk how to check that. The motor may neeed a new rotor cause it didnt have a cap when i got it, but i think it would at least turn over just not spark. What could it beeee!! Would the power steering pump be a suitable ground for the motor? thats the only place i could find to put it my ground would reach anywhere else.

I tried to connect it to the motor mount but the shape of the revshift mounts won't let a bolt go through it. Could I piggy back grounds together to make it longer. May just make my own longer one to.

Raul would know M30s specifically, but I've seen 3 grounds in most E30 M20 engine bays:
1) driver's side block to the left side structural member
2) ground on pass side on top of the shock tower
3) noise suppression ground between hood and rad support
There's a cool post here that lists all the car ground locations:
G100 in trunk behind battery / right front shock tower(with battery in engine compartment)
G102 on top rear of engine (4 cyl only )
G103 right front shock tower (2.5i engine only)/left side of engine block above starter (2.7e only)
G104 on front fender behind head lights
G200 under instrument panel, above brake pedal
G201 on steering column
G300 under left side of rear seat bottom
G301 in trunk
G600 in windshield headerI BUY/SELL REFURBISHED CM5907s & CM5908s

Well went through and doubled check my wiring and its good. After I did that I litterly just started unplugging and pluggin shit back in. Next thing I knew it started turning over I was crazy happy haha. It wont fire though and I'm 99% sure its my distributor rotor cause when I bought the motor it didnt have a cap on and its not sparking. I also pulled the car out bleed the brakes sanded the body to 120 to get the surface rust off and getting ready for primer and finishing the body work Got 1 day of welding to do. I got the rotor and a drive shaft csb on order so hopefully it fires with the new rotor and i can go for a little drive and get it aligned.
off The stands finally
Pushed into drive got coils in front bav springs in back lol that rake..
Flipped around cleaned out sanded and whipped down with solvents. cleaned the garage while it was out.
distributor pulled and shes sitting in her resting place for now..
dat fitment.. can drop the coils 4 more threads on the adjusters
I hope by the end of next weekend I'll have all my parts in and she will be moving under her own power fingers crossed.. Gonna put an order in with condor for diff/rtabs/subframe bushings and get my rear disc conversion finished with. need to grab another ebrake cable and maybe some rear ss line to do that though.
