To fucking many... It's gotten all new Hardware TWICE the second time I even paid the premium and went to stealership. I found out alot of the new BMW's still use the same trim clips but you pay a premium. Passenger side took all of 5 min to get in.
When I press one side in the other side pops out so I try and holding one end down and use a towel and rubber mallet to tap the other end in and when i do get them other end in the middle pops out so i get the middle in and the ends pop out. And now the grommets are stuck to the kink rather the car so It makes it even more of a bitch to get in. and the grommets are 4.50 a piece at my dealership.

Did some more things today.
First I ran up to BMW of Omaha and got Some clips for my chrome trim. I then I came home and put it all on.

You can see I dont have the bottom chrome piece on this is because I'm waiting on my gaskets to get here Monday. Then I will put them on along with the other misc things that need done.
Next I mounted the mirrors. Will have to pop them off to put the bottom chrome piece on but I wanted to mount them anyways.

I got the alpina Valance off because she will be getting trailer'd soon and I dont wanna ruin it so once its road worthy and not needing trailer'd I'll pop it back on.
Then I moved to interior. I put my steering column trim on and cluster bezel on. Then I moved to the glove box but didn't get very far cause I noticed I'm missing my glove box latch so I'm gonna have to go grab one.

Hopefully Monday the exterior will be done and I will just have an exhaust left to make.Leave a comment:

I want to run it this summer with out carpet and what not since I did so much metal work I wanna make sure she is water tight it would be hard to spot leaks with carpet in. Once I know she is leak free. I put dyna mat down and have a nice fresh Alpina interior installed with a fresh sound system.
You got it right. She is Zobelbraun It is her original color and I love it.Leave a comment:

Did some work today. Painted my mirrors and pillar trims. Also put my passenger seat in. Tomorrow I'm gonna vacuum up the interior and then install the glove box. Monday when I get my parts the pillar and window trims will go on along with the vapor barrier and front door cards.

First time all the seats have been in this car in 3 years

Also bought the pedals from Corvallis. Thanks man :)

Making progress. I can actually sit in my basement now and watch TV something I also haven't been able to do in 3 years haha.Leave a comment:

Did some work this weekend.
Put 1/4 windows in

Just need to get rest of my misc clips in that i didnt know i needed so i can put the rest of chrome window trim on.
Put in back half of interior. Waiting on vapor barriers to do front half.

Also put my door locks in and fixed the hole in my gas tank
Putting the locks in was a fuckin nightmare. The tumblers were bigger then my door so modification was required.

All thats left is to put exhaust on and make sure everything works how it should. Then i can get it registered and have the paint fix that needs to be done. Im getting there slowly. Made a big push this weekend though.Leave a comment:
