Yea that would be bad. I'm gonna stop and get a fire extinguisher to carry around. Even though If they go I probably wont get it out I sure will try. I also think that I got the wrap car enough down that most oil that would drip should burn off the manifolds before reaching the wrap.Comment

What was the hold-up preventing you from using the exhaust manifold gaskets?Comment
-
Exhaust manifold gaskets? No problem with gaskets i was having problems with heat shields cause my floor boards aren't the same shape as oem cause my rust repair so i had to come up with an alternative way to keep heat from transferring through the floors into the cabinComment

Went out to the car today and replaced the ignition switch with a new one i had laying around. Car now runs YAY! But still has no brakes. I've pretty much narrowed it down to the brake booster. This sucks because there is a good chance the m30's intake manifold will get in the way of booster replacement and I'm gonna have to rip this bitch apart... Now the question is do I wanna spend 209 on a 944 booster from blunt or buy a used one and run the risk of it going bad.. Cause I Don't really have the spare cash right now to drop on a booster and possibly a MC depending on the shape this one is when i get it torn apart. Pics i took yesterday but left my camera at the shop -_-
videos of my problems

I have been thinking the same. I dont have my tach wired in yet that will be done tomorrow. I was gonna do it today but only had 12 gauge wire and I didnt wanna use wiring that big for that gonna get smaller gauge wire tomorrow and then wire it up and see. Cause yea it sounds like its idling around 1000-1200.Comment

Do you have no brakes or just very hard brakes? IIRC there's a check valve in the booster vacuum line that is easy to get reversed, meaning no vacuum-assist.Comment
-
ZERO brakes and I'm not currently running a check valve so its down to the booster and MC and Im thinking booster. My buddy has an IX booster hes gonna sell me for 50 bucks and if it goes out i get my money back so thats why I'll be doing this weekend is putting in an IX booster. Im gonna go pull the MC today and see if maybe just maybe I blew the O ring on the MC and that causing my problemsComment
