What have I done? A Roundie Revival

Well, it wasn't IN a barn, but it was next to one.

And, for those of you that know about the most failure prone area of the '02 chassis.

Snagged it because I found it, not sure the direction as of yet, but I figured I'd post some pictures to start. I'll add to this thread as I learn more about it.

Sweet! score for rust free especially on the towers. One day I'll have a roundie revival. The real question is how much did you score it for?

It's 1530514. It's harder for me to find out any VIN info for this than my import 323i was.

That is an old one! 1967? You hardly ever see the really early kidneys like that any more.

Some motivation. I wish I had taken more pictures of it, especially the engine bay. It was MINT.

Edit: turns out I did get a couple, but none of the engine bay.

Agreed. A lot of the early 02 colors are really cool. I had a 1970 that was originally Bristol.

I would like to see some E30s in the cool old non metallic colors. Id like to see one in Agave or Colorado. Nevada and Florida are really cool too :)

From what I've found it's early 1967 as well. I've tried emailing the bmwgroup people to see if I can find any data on this one.

I think down the line, I may look into doing more with it and giving it the original factory color. I'm amazed at how not-rusty it is.

Email the vin to : Andreas.Harz@partner.bmwgroup.com

He can tell you date of manufacture, color and where it was sent.

edit: Just noticed that thing is still 6v, so bad ass.

Nice! There is a Tii 5 speed conversion near me for sale that looks a lot like that. That black is hard to find.

Just punched that vin into the BMW ETK and it came up as a 3/1984 4 door E30 320i.
