Hey guys! So today was so beautiful my brother-in-law and I decided to go the junk yard and pull a block! It took about three hours! The next step is to get it ti a shop to get it machined and vatted.

This was a full engine this morning! Now just bare bones block.

Noah, everything is looking good so far! Taking it apart is the easy part, putting it back together is key. You look like you are pretty organized, keep everything labeled and take lots of pictures while you are working. It makes life so much easier.. You have a lot of good parts going into this engine, it should be wild! I have the same turbo you plan on running the gt2871r is AWESOME for little four cylinder engines, spools up quick and makes good power all the way to the redline.

I need to work on my turbo m42 more :( I just finished all the engine building stuff and what not, now I have to deal with tuning and getting it to run correctly. Can't wait to see the progress on your car!

How many miles on the pulled block? Also you could do what bmw did with the m12/m13 ( used a m10 block) leave it in the rain and get rusted then clean it up maybe piss on it a couple of times. Can't wait to see what you do with this man. Idk what it is but I just like the m10.

Nice to see the progress Noah! It looks like I will be building a M10 turbo also, but for my cousins wide body 2002. Keep up the work! Im kinda bummed that my core motor turned out to be junk so Im on the search again, but I want to stick with the 2.0 motor
