Hey, I am going to recommend the high volume vac S54 oil pump.

Save you some time, and noisy lifters..

And for good lord, use the AKG swap mounts with Rouge trans mounts. Those Delrin rigs with buzz bomb the car apart. :)

This has taken longer than expected, as these things do. I ended up contracting the pan/subframe mods to Bayside fabrication to fit the s54 pan. Finally installed it, not without some drama. Stripped a bolt going into the rear main seal housing. Im gonna send it and hope for no leaks. Used curil-t on the seal for good measure.

Taking the opportunity to replace fuel lines and power steering pump. The lines were cracked, probably from bad CA gas. The power steering pump has been slowly letting go for a while. The ZF m3 pump has been NLA, but I noticed a new AAE brand pump available from bimmerworld so im gonna give that a shot.

Looking forward to get this car back on the road. I realized I've only driven it 3x this year which is sad. Missed a few autox, cars n coffee, and canyon runs.

Thanks for the updates! Bummer about the pan..

I did the S54 Sump for 2 reasons, Clearance, better oil control.

Now there is a one off rear sump pan a guy is making which looks OK!...

Picks & Sound of center exit?

Still one of my Fav Rev cars!

    Too many projects!... haha

This sucks, but as usual its an excuse to finally install the proper rear sump. Its a win-win from a sh!tty situation

    Oil pan drama strikes again.

Highway took me out. Huge uneven surface slammed me down so hard it pancaked the skid plate into the pan. Without that skid plate probably would've ripped the bottom of the pan out and totalled the engine.

I guess this will force the upgrade to the S54 oil pan. Thankfully I've been hoarding the parts for a few years.

No. I got a nice stainless valve, an electric actuator, and hard wired it to a switch on my dash
