^Thank you for linking that video. I saw this guy's review on kamotors car. Hadn't seen this one. I thought at first it was relevant to my thread because he had a messy shop. Then the other thing was similar… and the other thing… and the other things…Originally posted by Andy.BWhenever I am about to make a particularly questionable decision regarding a worryingly cheap diy solution, I just ask myself, "What would Ether-D do?"

Thanks man. I'm working on the 944 for now, but I will end up getting back to my delusions of grandeur with the compound boost and so forth.Originally posted by Andy.BWhenever I am about to make a particularly questionable decision regarding a worryingly cheap diy solution, I just ask myself, "What would Ether-D do?"

I was thinking for a while about spending a lot of time and money trying to build an over-the-top stroker to avoid turbo lag but now that i've seen how affordable a s/c'd setup can be, i'm going to go this route.
For reference, your 2.7 is the 81mm eta crank, 130mm eta rods, "i" pistons and the 885 head?
Did you shave the block?
What was your static CR?
Did you do anything else to prepare the engine for boost?

Did not shave the block.
Idk.
No.
There's no lag ever. It's not a lot of boost, but it's well appropriated.Originally posted by Andy.BWhenever I am about to make a particularly questionable decision regarding a worryingly cheap diy solution, I just ask myself, "What would Ether-D do?"
