they're a pain to take on and off to do brake stuff compared to direct fit wheels. also less tire and the fronts stick out and mangle fenders with E34 style 5s.

save that car, looks like it's got good bones and you have a decent idea of what's good

I've decided to drop my style 5 idea. So they'll be up for sale.

Thanks for the encouragement Kronus. It really means a lot. Seriously.

And I got those GOD AWFUL ESMs off. I'd rather run bottlecaps any day. Excuse my girl friend asleep in the passenger seat lol.

And it looks pink because of salt build up from driving over the pass. I wouldn't buy a pink car. That's not how I roll. Oh yeah, my gf hates this car because it's red??? lol, she says I can still keep it.

Time to get some more shit done. I'm on break for another week so we'll see what happens.

          Here's my thought process...

Car has about 225k miles, resprayed paint, semi rolled fenders, a shit audio system, its drilled full of holes, and has a birds nest of wires behind the underdash.

Oh and it is an absolutely base model car. The only option was extra cosmoline.

This gives me the right to do whatever the fuck I want with this car. I don't care to save it as a pristine "oem+" model at this point.

At this point I'm going for a stripped street car. I've already done some decent weight reduction, and am on my way to doing much more. I feel like this car will pan out very nicely. It's being built as a drivers car, not a garage queen.

Anyways, onwards to pics. Notice the racing dynamics rear strut bar as well as the ground control tall rear shock mounts. Honestly, the way this car is built it floored me that it contained any semi-performance parts whatsoever.

          20151222_112206

And the back seat out. Tossing around the idea of skinned door cards as well.

          20151222_111435

Here's a quick pic of the nest I have to clean up. Ugh, I bet there's 20 p0unds of fucking speaker wire in this car.

I honestly have no clue what this is coming out of the back of the cluster. I'll need help with this one. Seriously. It's wired into the si board. I just don't even know where to begin with it.

The two wires out of focus are the pair in question. Sorry for shit pics.

All for now. I would appreciate anyone's help with the random ass wires coming from my cluster.

I'll update soon with a sneak peek of the future of this car...

You have to love car stereo guys (amateur ones, not the ones like Luke).

My car had the same issue, wires everywhere, not done cleanly and a complete mess under the dash when I pulled the knee panel down.

Good luck it took me a while to follow all the cuts and get everything back to stock and working again. Some of the cuts I dont even get, he even cut the power to the mirrors!!

Well, starting to get the ball rolling with this piece of shit. Here's a sneak peak of what's to come.

It's a pretty big hint, so any guesses?

wiring on these cars is so depressing. good luck sorting your mess. e30 wiki has all of the diagrams you need to sort it out.
