All kinds of things have happened. First I changed heating elements. Old water valve had been leaked, as usual.

    [IMG][/IMG]

Old heater replaced by a new one.

    [IMG][/IMG]

    New water valve and o-rings.

    [IMG][/IMG]

    Perhaps works next 26years.

    [IMG][/IMG]

Blower and seals are also new now.

    [IMG][/IMG]

Then it was time to install the floor mat, the heating device and dashboard in place. A few other part also found its place.

    [IMG][/IMG]

A good friend came to help and we installed new windshield, rear window, seat belts and rear window shelf.

The rear axle was finished, then I moved to the front end. Unfortunately new M3 steering-rack is NLA. I had to settle for the old clean-up and placement with new parts.

      [IMG][/IMG]

      Done.

      [IMG][/IMG]

      New front axle support also.

      [IMG][/IMG]

Then I lift the engine a little, to get the rack in place.

      [IMG][/IMG]

At the same time I installed in the exhaust manifold and little else.

No it“s not. I just cleaned it up for four hours before installation.

              Hello guys!

When the engine was almost complete, it was time to install the gearbox. First, of course, all the accessories.

              [IMG][/IMG]

              [IMG][/IMG]

              [IMG][/IMG]

Then the gearbox itself. A few years in a box, just a little dusty.

              [IMG][/IMG]

              [IMG][/IMG]

Finally, the new oils in and few little thing.

              [IMG][/IMG]

The package began to be together. Clutch cover is used.

              [IMG][/IMG]

A few small things even before the installation of the engine.

              [IMG][/IMG]

After that I lifted up the chassis and pushed from underneath the package in place

                [IMG][/IMG]

Then I dropped the chassis slowly down, and installed a few bolt and nut. There is no scratches, or dents that would have been, if I had installed the package from above.

                [IMG][/IMG]

                [IMG][/IMG]

There it is and I was soooo happy.

                        Thank“s all of you;)

Project moves forward. New anti-roll bar, bushes and mounts arriwed. So I got the front axle almost ready.

                        [IMG][/IMG]

                        [IMG][/IMG]

Struts in place. Yet another small point and get a car on its wheels.

                        [IMG][/IMG]

Calipers and discs also found a places.

                        [IMG][/IMG]

                        [IMG][/IMG]

Until it was a great moment. Car was the first time in six years on its own wheels.

                        [IMG][/IMG]

                        [IMG][/IMG]

I was so excited that I put the back seat and seat belts also in place.

Woha! Must be one of the cleanest and expensiest restauration I have seen in a e30 so far. Stunning work.....btw why did you replace your windshield? It was cracked at some point? pitted fromt he road debris? I had to buy new BMW front/rear windshield for my M3 when I restored it. Front being not OE and rear was broken during the restauration by accident.

Because I wanted to. The old windshield was ok, not perfect, but I did not see any reason to put it back.

This is my dream car. I have owned it for more than 10 years. Restoration time is gone for 7 years. Maybe I do not sell this pretty soon, even though you never know.
