I'm happy to report the car performed very well at the last track weekend. However, my tires are heat cycled out and my head gasket is seeping a little coolant onto the block on the exhaust side. It's not mixing coolant/oil and it's very minor, but I still want to replace the head gasket (and put on new tires) before going back out on the track.

I made a lot of headway with my rich idle when hot issue. I've been tuning the idle for maximum vacuum, which has meant that I have 1) raised the idle to about 1,200 2) richened the idle to about 13.5:1 AFR 3) increased the timing at idle from 11*, up to 15*, and now up to 17*. The car "catches" idle when the revs are dropping down MUCH better, and the AFRs at idle are much, much more consistent all the way from cold start to full heat soak. I still think there's a little bit of tuning left to do there, but it was a huge step in the right direction.

Your car looks so damn good with the style 4s. I've been trying to sell the 318ti trailing arms I have but now I wanna keep em and pray for an m3 front setup to pop up when I get another e30 lol.

Happy to hear about solving the rich issue as well.

Thanks! Not a big deal on the HG... it's just something I wish I had done the last time the engine was out of the car.

Lol! Him and I were evenly matched in the rain, but in the dry I was about 4-5 seconds a lap faster. That car is super nice though. It's prepped for endurance racing.

Thanks! Yeah, honestly this week I was thinking about how I regret selling the BRG car. I wish I had kept it around to have fun as just a street car.

                      is it a 16V? 2L on Motronic?

If you scroll through these pictures fast it's like a motion picture almost.
I'm envious of the hood. You almost can't tell it's vented.

Time for a little update. Honestly, haven't had much time to do anything on the car. This fall has been very busy. I have gotten to the track a couple of times. Besides doing normal track prep (brake bleed, bolt check, that kind of stuff), not much to report other than some new tires (Dunlop ZIII's to replace my worn out ZII Star Specs).

Unfortunately my head gasket is leaking. It's seeping coolant externally, underneath the headers. It's not mixing coolant/oil, thankfully. It wasn't looking too bad, so I ran it at Sebring for Spectoberfest a couple weeks ago. It got worse during the event, so I am going to need to fix it before the next track day.

Here's a couple photos from the August NASA event at PBIR.

Got the car aligned when I mounted the new 225/45-16 ZIII's. Took a few pics under the car as well.

These ZII's were heat cycled out long ago

And here are the photos from Spectoberfest. The photos come care of Carlos @ Condor Speed Shop, who set up the event, and Ed @ Tuner Classics, who was the event photographer. The rest of the photo set can be seen here:

This is easily now one of my favorite photos of my car:

You can see the coolant streaks on the block in this photo:
