Thanks mate. They'll be painted in heat proof clear coat and baked in the oven. Ive done other parts on my other car's engine and it has lasted years now.

Yeah really happy with how they came up.

Patience is not really something I have to be honest, and that's probably why I'm always working on it because I want it all done.

That booster relocation bracket is pretty trick, who makes it if it's not a secret ? Is it readily available ?
Thanks Jean. Nah, I don't intend on selling it but if I ever did it would only be so I could do an E9.

The booster is designed and made by a young fella down here in OZ. His name is Corey Clark and his business is 26th Street Fabrication. He started making them as the ones from Ergen are so expensive to buy and ship to Australia. These are almost a third of the price. Yes they're readily available. He's made a few now and would be happy to ship over there I'm sure.

                Yes very painful.

Thanks 2mAn. Yeah I can't wait to see it finished too haha.

Careful baking them. Keep the temp low. I took mine to a local powered coated..... not sure what their temp was set at, I warned them to keep it low because of the alloy. I got back a twisted set of valve covers.

                            Thanks LoneWolf,
Yeah I think low and slow is the go. I might bake them and then while they are still warm/hotish, bolt them back on the heads till they cool down. Should pull them back to square if they had twisted any.

They are actually made out of magnesium not alloy (why BMW did that I don't know) hence the reason they pit.

Document how you do it, if it turns out well, I will be picking up a set. My fingers will bleed to get them looking like that, but it looks great. Best of luck!

Painted mine to early in the swap. The engine had to go in and out so many times with the changes through my swap, now they have many knicks in the crinkle paint
