In the booth this evening and they started carefully back masking the car with new paper/tape. No where near done mind you, but they should be back on it Monday morning and then start shooting sealer, base and clear Monday afternoon/evening.

Shareif @ Imperial Collision spent over an hour himself painstakingly going over every square inch of the car to ensure there where no imperfections before they started the final masking.

There are still some areas that need to be closed in obviously, and we are skirting the entire car to ensure not one spec of white paint gets blown onto the immaculate undercarriage.

Gonna feel good to finally get it painted after the various difficulties with body shops. Looks excellent so far!

Because my M5 and X3 are AW3, and I hate how dingy AW2 is.

No one is going to know its AW3 anyway just looking at it, it will just look fresh.

I had this feeling looking at your signature. AW3 is most certainly nicer, no denying that.

Another small batch of parts came back from plating yesterday so I was able to fully assemble the alternator and ABS pump.




ABS pump with the missing anti-tamper top cover cap because it looks like the platers lost it..... I'll have to destroy another ABS pump to remove one intact and then send just it out for playing... le'sigh.
