Starting to look like a motor. The oil filter housing is not mounted fully yet because I need to modify the E46 M3 heater pipe to integrate a coolant pipe to the reservoir. The Z4M piece is like $230 O_O for a metal pipe. That's not happening... S54 bits are expensive enough as it is... would rather spend that on something I actually need.

Hehe. I actually did what nando suggested. i dropped assembly lube in it and will definitely prime the sucker before allowing the car to fire up.

Got the oil pan on and the top end is pretty much all buttoned up as well. Waiting on the harness to be completed and then I gotta start figuring out the small annoying details of the build haha.

Going to try and make it up to Watkins for the Fall foliage. And just take a nap up in the grandstand inside of turn one!

    Such an awesome place!

Yep thats the mtech skirts and door pods

I had purchased the bumpers a while back but had to sell them because I needed some cash quickly sadly. I like the way it looks though.

The first m50 rebuild was costly but I also did supporting stuff in the process. The S52 was around $2500 but that was a very very lucky deal because my friend was parting out a coupe back then.

    M50/M52 build:

This is when I swapped in the S52:

    My car:

This is how it looked when I just finished it in 09:

It's undergone a big transition from when I first built it. Initially it was a street car then slowly as I got into track events and such I set the car up to be more track car than anything.

So things like momo racing seats... a roll cage, 5pt harnesses, track brake pad compouds, tires, wheels... etc.
It looks great, is that a mtech 2 rear apron, skirts, and door pods?

Do you have some pictures of the car, I'd love to see what 9 years and 25k looks like when sunk into a E30
