Operation dismantle e36 is under way.

I broke this as it was very weak. Does anyone know what this is? It seems to be a sensor of some kind? Maybe a temp sensor.

All that is left is to take off the drive shaft, control arms, and steering rack, plus a few more misc things. Overall I think it was a pretty productive day.

DAMN this is a gnarly project.

I just spent the last hour looking thru every page of this whole thread. That is one lucky eta, you've brought it back to life and then some!

Congrats! I can't wait to see whats up next.

The 1988 cars (which I assume this is) have late model tails and DBs. These diving boards can easily be converted to plastic bumpers, whereas the early models cannot be easily converted

Man I'm impressed. Awesome Work!! And very tastefully done, IMO. I really like this car. You put a lot of work into this, and it really paid off. I read the whole thread last night (read: studied less for finals) and it was totally worth it. So is there an S5x going in now? I'm tuned in. This is one of the more interesting projects I've seen.

This was a funny thread to read through. I laugh at people hating on bondo. and your prodject. trust me most body shops dont care about how much they fill, unless the person is really into pride, witch anymore you dont find that these days. the bondo wont crack if you apply it correctly. looks rad! good job
