Those plates are used to locate the chassis on the assembly line. you need to take more pictures at night when details are all but impossible to see.

This is coming together very nicely. I would love to have a project car to rebuild from ground up, but don't have the time, resources, or space to do so. Looks great!

    Re installing the A/C dryer:
First mount it in the holes.

Tighten the hoses that go in

Put on the switches and you are done

I had to drive it to my job to get the A/C vacuumed and filled with Freon, so I needed seats

The A/C works well now, it gets down to around 60-70 depending on if you are moving, and other situations, but feels real good

I got the front bumpers and test fitted them

    Paint doesn’t match go figure.

    Redid the door panels

Put on the door panels. I really like the suede door pockets

Put in the centre console and ebrake handle.

I also put the shift boot, knob and window switches

This is how the carpets looked, but it rubs off too easy

I had bunch of pics of the carpet, and door panels, but there is not reason to post them.

Front bumpers mounted and lights working.

I had to remove what was left of the old glove

    The new box

I put it on, and it got locked on, but not locked, it got stuck. I got so mad I pulled it off and broke it. It was my first temper tantrum on the car. It sucks now I have to buy a new glovebox.

    Mounted the Side Mirrors

    Mounted the A pillars

Bumper on correctly… kind of. But I still need to fix the passenger side

    Mounted the spoiler

I know I am missing some pics but oh well.

I got power flex control arm bushings, ground control RSM’s, and sway bar bushings for the front.

    Jack up the front

    The location of the bushings

    Loosen the two bolts

You usually need a sprocket puller to get them out but mine were so bad I just got them out with my hands.

    The bushing

I had to go to my job and get them pressed out. Tomorrow I will put them and the rest in

    The sway arm bushings

Any e30 gurus know what the hell these are

Hey Guys. Sorry for the lack of updates. I have been so stressed about this car latly. On top of that I have been shopping for a car, and I am carless. I am working full time, and school full time so I do not get much time in for the car. I have been so stressed that everything I have been doing has felt a lot harder than it should. I decided to take a break from the car and form posting. But now I am back. I have been taking pics of everything so you guys have not missed anything. I am going to get the car repainted as soon as I get all my parts in. Maybe 3 weeks, I am going to get real black door panels, carpets, and I need a new glove box. I am going to get high quality wheels, maybe some old BBS’s. I have ordered the OEM m tech 2 side skirts and am ordering a rear maybe today. No longer am I going to go cheap on this car. I want it done right. But I also need to drive it, being it is my only car at this point. I will be getting the 1 series so I have a long wait. So with out further Ado, here is the thread,

    Brushing the carpet

    After is been brushed

I had to leave. When i came back I decided to do the rear intenna before it got dark. My intenna hole kept leaking water in my car and I had to keep vacuming it out

    I pulled this Hoe out

    Cut the intenna wire

    Cut the factory wire

    Splice them together

Mount the intenna. When i did it the first time it was too much to the side

    So I adjusted it

I added antoher coat to the carpet

    I started the door cards

I need to put another coat on them. Maybe one or two more coats.

The carpet looks better now in person than in pics. Once the seats are in, and everything else it would be darker and look better. Maybe 5 more coasts of paint and it will be done.

Im doing the door cards also. They might take like two coats. The carpet maybe like ten. I am on like 5 now. But it is starting to look good. A lot better in person than on the pics. Plus once you put the seats it gets darker and you see less.

I got a little bit done yesterday.

    Put new wiper blades.

Put more coats on the carpet. It is going to take forever to get right.

Found Paint to work on the back seat

I put this trim piece on

Got the hang of the window strip lock

And finally I took off the A/C dryer. I will be buying a new one on monday, and finishing the A/C system then.

Here is the part. Behind the passanger side headlight

    Loosen these two fittings,

    Loosen the two bolts

    This is the piece

    Thats it for today...

Well I got a little bit of work done.

I have never done something like this before. But since a a lot of people were telling me about it, I said why not.

I got part of the carpet out

Working on the head liner and A pillars

I started to paint the carpet. All of it needs to be brushed and needs more coats.
