Replaced rear trunk shock and adjusted the trunk to be flush when closed. With a new shock installed there was upward pressure on the drivers side that pushed the trunk up just a little bit. Adjusted the center bracket thingy to bring the trunk down a tad more when shut. Its so weird having the trunk pop open now when I press the button to open it.

Then remounted my trunk tool kit and found that I need the foam rubber that holds the tools in and keeps them from moving around.

To continue with the trunk I installed an ammo can by drilling through the bottom of the ammo can and the plate that covers the weight in the rear passenger side of verts. Bolted it down and this will be my tool box. (Need to figure out which tools would be best to keep in there) . Made sure that the clearances were dialed in so It could be opened from the front and would not hit the inside of the trunk and not open all the way.

Made a holder for my CR7 rim center caps, rings, and retainers. 3 D Printed the holders and bolted them down to a piece of siding covered in grey fabric. This will allow me to pull the center caps, rings , and retainers and store them when not on the e30 vert. These parts are NLA and kids (thieves) like to pull arbitrary items for the hell of it so not taking any chances with these.

Somehow I am missing a small C Clip that holds the cable in the trunk to a pin . It keeps the cable in place and that cable disallows the trunk and convertible top boot to be opened at the same time. If anyone has one of these small clips they can spare please let me know.

Installed replacement rear trunk shock and 2 convertible top boot shocks. Mounted my complete trunk tool kit as well.
So weird to push the rear button for the trunk and have it pop open!

    Welcome to 2010!

I put a mirror glass unit back on that decided to fall off, did manage to deftly grab it before it fell while driving, so pretty happy there.
