Installed Husco armrest today

I wish I took a before picture, because, the engine compartment was filthy! Years of dirt, grease, and of course, cosmoline. I took the car to a car wash and used engine degreaser. Didn't work too well. Came home and used purple power...better, but didn't do anything to the cosmoline. Then tried simple green max...WOW. The cosmoline came right off. So simple green max, a toothbrush, and a grout brush. Oh and a good deal of elbow grease.

Ive spent a few hours, 2 cans of engine cleaner, 2 tooth brushes and 2 cut up hands and my engine compartment still looks schmeaaaa.

Finally adjusted my door striker, adjusted the door, found out that there were too many shims on the bottom hinge which was causing my door to POP out when I opened it. It works better now, all I have to do is adjust the door gap :)

Last weekend painted chrome rings around lights to black:



Next weekend gonna put stainless steel exhaust manifold, do something to valve clearances and maybe motor flush (+ oil change).

And with my friend we're gonna change subframe bushes to his 318iS. I have to put powerflex polyurethane bushes to mine subframe some day soon. :)
