John of S14.net uses MAXX with his build that is easily putting out 320+hp and he knows waaaaaaaay more than you or your dad ever will. As long as you have the correct MS chip for proper timing and spark with respect to the hardware youre running, MAXX is nothing more than fuel control.
This is basicly the reason i went with the Maxx system. I have talked with John many times tru emails and he has the right chips for the spark. I dont like reinventing the wheel. Going with a different ECU system would be doing that.I wanna go FastComment

It wasnt use to bend the tubing. If you can bend 1.75x.095 4130 with a car tire, I wanna see that first hand. I will even fly out to see it done.
The tubing was bent by an NHRA chassis builder remotely based on sketches and models I made. Distance of the driver to tubing is unimportant when the drivers head is over 6" away from it. All tubing located in the vacinity of the drivers body must be covered in SFI spec foam padding anyway. And if yer worried about yer head hitting yer roll bar, then you better put yer belts on bud.I like to build things with metal n stuffComment

Nope. Got a guy for that.
He uses a hydraulic mandrel bender worth more than the house I grew up in... I'm pretty sure he's not running anything over with a truck either.
But that's not a big deal. I didn't even notice a problem with the fit of the cage.Comment

OK... lets get this back on track.
I definitely like how the cage ties in to the diff and subframe. Do you have any in-progress shots of that process?
The cage also seems to have much better nodes than most of the ones I see being DIYed. Hopefully a few issues with the back section (shock tower plates) will be fixed and we'll get some updated pics soon. :)Comment
