No progress yet, I kinda sort fucked up...I haven't been using assembly lube so I'm tearing it down.

You know, I was just looking at your latest pics and I was thinking-'I don't see any sign of assembly lube seeping out of the bearings'...good thing you caught it when you did!

Ugh, thankfully I have avoided JUST that!

Well, we've started on the black car! Pulled the motor out today and took down the front end by dropping the subframe!

Here she is...sorry for crappy cell phone pic!



Stay tuned, I will start work on the motor this week after my last test!



OH, before I forget...

We have had some serious trouble with getting the brake lines off! We've been using flared wrenches but that doesn't seem to be helping at all. I freakin stripped the bolt on the front right and now I'm afraid to do the left front.

Does anyone have any tips on removing these lines other than PB blasting the shit out of them??

Cut and replace!

If you dont care about the rubber lines, het the shit out of em and pb blaster to cool the part. Should come right off. You WILL ruin the rubber lines though. Be careful

The thing is both of the cars have SS lines...the black car and my car!

Obviously he wants to swap his SS lines onto the white car and I want to swap my PVC coated lines onto my SOON to be car!

I mean I'm willing to just fucking cut the lines and redo them but I REALLY REALLY dread doing that.

Has rust issues and it was hit on the right qtr panel :(

The black car is completely RUST FREE and its been taken care of :)

You DID make sure the oil squirters were installed, right?
