Great work! I don't really mind the front and rear bumper covers. It was built to race! :)
I don't mind it either. It serves it purpose. 95' E30 FTW!!!!

Fuck all you taste Nazi's, people are entitled to style their car anyway they so please. At least he's driving his BMW the way it's meant to be...hard.

This is a great build, with the motto "function before fashion" in mind. Definitely gets brownie points from me.

Awesome build thread. Why do I think I've seen it somewhere else before? I don't dislike the front and rears, especially on a purpose-built car.

that is awesome - actually I think it's really clean looking for a purpose built race car. I bet that thing is light as hell too - nothing required to remove, it was empty to begin with. :)

what engine management are you using? I noticed the innovate sticker on the hood.

I've been looking over your build on your site for some time. Something about clean engine bays I can't help but love.

I'm also curious on the weight, and if you can get it lighter while still being cost effective. :)

At the moment we use the standard management. We've just built a megasquirt and the Innovate LC1 is going to help that one ;). We hope to combine it with a racetechnology's Dash2 and DL1.

The car actually is just under a 1000kg. Was more then we hoped it's not too much. It's the doors and fully steal cage that make it more heavy. In sometime we will be trying some weightcutting again. Removing the blower, some small bits here and there and maybe making lighter doors.

First plans now is the Massive Brakes upgrade, after that an M52B28 and then this one :

                  E30 Euro-S50B30 Tracktoy
                  E30 M20B25 Drifttoy

Well first we will fit the (euro) M52B28. This because I've just bought a 328i e36 automatic for parting and the engine is in pretty good shape. So this will go in first with the intake from the current engine, the M50B25.

The (euro) S50B30 isn't new. We bought it in germany from a guy who had it in his e30 convertable. It's E30 ready but when you use an engine from a street car with lots of miles, it's way better too refresh it before using it at the track. Otherwise you will kill it in notime, have my experiences there with a different car, which is a waste for such a nice engine :P.

good choice with the single vanos engine mate, so much less hassle involved if the motor starts playing up which the S52 always does

I was wondering why you went with 4 lug vs 5 lug set ups which would have allowed you to mount the anti sway bars on the strut vs the control arm.

huh? you can still mount the swaybar on the strut with 4 lugs. you just need to weld the tab onto the strut.. swapping to 5 lug struts just for that would be a big waste of money.
