I'll probably end up running a hybrid MAP/Alpha N setup once I get it on. It's an easy switch with megasquirt ;)

      Vacuum manifold plumbed in

Hey if you want to duplicate it go for it, I will say the parts are very hard to find and not cheap. Most of the Bike throttle body sets sell for $300-$400 and you need 2 sets.

Hmmmm. We have CBR ITB's laying around the engineering club's shop cause we are not allowed to use them on our formula car. And my dad just gave me a spare m20. Wheels are turning. Are you planning on running velocity stacks?

Thats friggin awesome dude. I love the set up.

One or two things i dont like. Id say with N/A the normal worm gear clamps are fine. When you get boosted they might be a problem especially cause there are so many. Id do t-bolts or at least the lined worm gear ones. And the phillips head hardware makes it all look cheap.

Just my 2c and all in all this is a super gangster project and looks like it has a lot of potential :)

Good luck and i cant wait to see how it turns out.

Ya I'm wanting to try and put some sort of stack on the end of the runners inside the plenum. I'm not worried at all about the worm gear clamps in those areas. On my current setup all the clamps are worm gear and they all hold up fine. I only have one pipe that tends to pop loose, but that's becuase I need a silicone bump hose in that location and I just have a straight coupler. So it has a lot of stress on it. And FYI the Phillips head screws are All OEM BMW parts, I could replace them all with m6 bolts but it's not worth it.

what are you going to do for tuning?

Going to run a blend for the signal? Its hard to get a clean signal from itbs with a map sensor.

The whole reason for the vacuum manifold is to try and even out the pulses from each runner so I get a clean MAP pressure to the megasquirt. If that dosn't work then I'll swap to a hybrid Alpha N map, and use the TPS for low RPM/MAP areas.

You can run one of those plastic low pressure fuel filters to help clean up the noise as well.

Damn that gives me an idea too. We've got plenty of old CBR 600 TBs lying around.... If I can fab up a simple adapter to the m20.... gears are definitely turning.

Can't wait to see the finished product, this looks awesome!

Some more ultra rare m20 porn, this may be the first and only time you see pictures of these pistons. 11:1 cr ratio FTW :pimp:

Also have on order a bunch of aluminum for making the plenum.
